A dream visit to Assam in the middle of Feb 2014. A really challenging trip given that I was down sick in January and was on injections multiple times a day. Even on the first day of the trip I was wondering if I was sane doing the trip. The trip was challenging in terms of the hard work of getting up around 4:30 AM every day, getting ready by 5:30 and out to be in the forests. The morning chill, the lack of sleep and the sheer exhaustion used to kill us. But the beauty of the forests, the thrill of seeing the unexpected kept us going. Here is the route that we followed, Bangalore - Guwahati - Kaziranga - Jorhat - Nameri - Guwahati - Bangalore in 7 days.
